Takimikan in Ginzan Onsen is a ryokan located not in the hot spring resort area of Ginzan Onsen, but in a slightly remote location.
The main inn is not a classic wooden building like those in the hot spring resort area of Ginzan Onsen, but a modern Japanese style inn where you can stay comfortably.
The distance to the hot spring resort of Ginzan Onsen is quite long, so you will have to walk there or use the free shuttle service to the hot spring resort to see the night view.
If you want to explore the hot spring resort at your leisure, we recommend that you stay at the villa Takimikan rather than the main building.
The villa Takimikan is located at the far end of the Ginzan Onsen Hot Spring Resort near the Hakugin no Taki Waterfall, but dinner is not included in the room rate.
For dinner when staying at the villa, it is recommended to eat at Nogawa-tei, Izu-no-hana, or Yusemuri Shokudo Shirogane in the hot spring resort area.
There is a walkway from the main Takiimikan building to the Annex Takiimikan on the edge of the Ginzan hot spring resort area, but it is quite hilly.
It will take about 5 minutes to go down from the main building, but the climb back up will be difficult.
There are no lights on the road, so you will need a flashlight if you are passing after dark.
Taki Mimikan offers a shuttle service from Oishi Yamada Station by reservation only.
If you are driving a rental car, there is a 30-car parking lot next to the main building where you can park for free.
Guests staying at the Annex will also use the parking lot next to the main building.
Takimikan has a main building a short distance from the hot spring resort area and a villa at the far end of the resort.

Amenities at Takimikan include a hot water kettle, refrigerator, safe, toothpaste set, shower cap, facial soap, towels, bath towels, hair dryer, razor, comb, and yukata.
The main building of Takimikan has separate baths for men and women, including an indoor bath with a great view and an outdoor bath with a view.
The men's and women's baths are located on the mountain side and the waterfall side of the basement, and the men's and women's baths are switched at different times.
The villa has a private bath that can be used 24 hours a day, except during cleaning hours.
Those who wish to enjoy the hot spring in private should use the private baths, although it is a 5-minute walk from the main building to the villa.
When you stay at Takimikan Honkan, you can enjoy our famous homemade handmade soba noodles and creative dishes using local ingredients at dinner.
The dinner menu can be selected according to your stay plan.
The plan is limited to 8 persons per day, but we recommend the counter dining plan, where you can enjoy a creative course meal prepared in front of your eyes by a craftsman.
The menu consists of 9 dishes: appetizer, soup, sashimi, ryogi, grilled dish, meat dish, covered dish, meal, and dessert.
The dishes are kaiseki cuisine prepared with local Yamagata ingredients.
(PR)
The famous handmade soba noodles can be refilled, so you can eat as much as you like.
The following is an example of actual dishes.
Breakfast is Japanese style, and dishes include grilled fish, omelet, salad, pickles, soaked vegetables, cod roe, tofu, rice, miso soup, natto (fermented soybeans), and nori (seaweed).
Breakfast in the villa is served in the dining room “Takimi-tei”.
word-of-mouth evaluation

As the name of the inn suggests, a magnificent waterfall can be seen just behind the inn, and the soba noodles served at the dinner table were very delicious.
The service was courteous and everyone was friendly, and the hot spring water, which smelled slightly of sulfur, was wonderful.
We were also able to see the town of Ginzan Onsen at night with the bus pick-up service.
My parents who went with us were so full that they left more than half of the soba noodles at the end of the meal, which was disappointing.

I was surprised to find the inn on a hillside away from the hot spring resort area lined with old ryokan in Ginzan Onsen, but it was convenient to be able to drive directly to the parking lot right next to the hotel.
We stayed the night before at an inn in the hot spring resort area and did not use the nighttime walking tour since we enjoyed it the day before, but there is a free shuttle bus that takes you from this inn to the hot spring resort area in the evening, where you can also enjoy a night walk.
We had elderly parents, so it was helpful to have access to a rental car.
The accommodations were very clean and comfortable, as if they had been built recently.
The dinner was like a mystery tour, as there was no written menu, so it was a bit of a mystery as to where the dinner was going to end up.
The hot spring facilities were also very comfortable, and although there were many people staying there, we were able to enjoy the hot spring at around 9:00 pm and after breakfast, when it was reserved for private use.
