Access, rooms, baths, and meals at Ichii, a large hotel next to Yubatake with suites in Kusatsu Onsen

About Hotel Ichii

Hotel Ichii is a large hotel located facing Yubatake, the symbol of Kusatsu Onsen.

It is very conveniently located for sightseeing in Yubatake and strolling around the hot spring resort area.

There are three buildings: the main building, annex, and west wing. The rooms facing the hot spring fields in the main building offer views of the fields.

There is also an executive room on the top eight floors of the main building, which can be considered a suite, with a living room and twin bedroom with a view of the Yubatake fields.

The large public bath is very spacious for a large ryokan, with a liberating indoor bath and open-air bath.

There are also two restaurants of different styles, and you can choose to dine in the room where you stay or in the restaurant.

As this is a large hotel, there are some distances to travel within the hotel.

This is recommended for those who want to stay in a large onsen ryokan with Japanese facilities.

About access

Hotel ICHII is 230 meters from the Kusatsu Bus Terminal, so it only takes 5 minutes to walk there.

If you call the hotel when you arrive at the Kusatsu Bus Terminal, they will come and pick you up.

If you are driving a rental car, the parking lot is on the opposite side of Yubatake, so you can park on that side.

Park your car at the entrance and hand the key to the attendant, who will move your car to the parking lot.

Parking fees are charged and advance reservations are required.

About the Room

Hotel Ichii has an eight-story main building, a nine-story annex, and a six-story west wing.

The main building has an entrance, front lobby, souvenir center, and restaurant.

word-of-mouth evaluation

We stayed in a room on the Yubatake side of the main building with the room meal plan.
If you stay at Kazui, I recommend the rooms on the Yubatake side of the main building.
The meals were delicious and made with local ingredients.
The baths in the large bathrooms have different temperatures for those who want to enjoy the original Kusatsu hot water and for those who do not like hot water, so you can enjoy the baths according to your temperature preferences.
The waitresses, front desk staff, and parking lot staff were all very kind and courteous, and we had no inconvenience.

The view of the Yubatake fields from the top of the room on the Yubatake side was a view that could only be seen from here.
The view of the Yubatake fields lit up at night is soothing just by looking at them over a long period of time.
Breakfast was of the same quality and quantity as dinner, and we were able to enjoy it in a relaxed atmosphere.
